Vietjet accompanies with the 2021 Tree-planting festival
(Phu Yen, February 20, 2021) - Welcoming the new year of the Ox with many good things, Vietjet participated in the Launching ceremony of the “Tree-planting festival” for Spring 2021 in Tuy Hoa city, Phu Yen province following Uncle Ho's teachings and in response to Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc's call to plant 1 billion trees.
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc attended the event with the leaders of ministries, central government and local authorities, and leaders of Vietjet.
With continuous efforts to bring new good values to the community, Vietjet commits to accompany the efforts of protecting the environment, increasing green cover across the country and special meaningful movements such as the campaign of planting 1 billion trees in Vietnam as well as other countries around the world. In Phu Yen, Vietjet commits to accompany the project of planting 15 million trees in the period of 2021 - 2025, with an expected budget of billions of VND, aiming to build Phu Yen province into a province with a green, clean and beautiful living environment, with the goal of sustainable socio-economic development, at the same time focusing on planting trees, increasing forest cover and protecting the living environment for the future generations.
Also on this occasion, Vietjet and the People's Committee of Phu Yen signed a memorandum of understanding and commitment to the socio-economic development of Phu Yen province under the witness of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc. In the coming time, in addition to the flight routes connecting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with Tuy Hoa, Vietjet also commits to increase flight frequencies and inaugurate more domestic and international routes to the airport at Tuy Hoa, Phu Yen.
