(Vietjet, HCM city, 22/8/2021) - Vietjet has delivered thousands more medical staffs from the north to southern areas to help fight the pandemic over the weekend.

On August 20, Vietjet has organized 3 flights to transport doctors and medical officers of the Central Maternity Hospital and medical students of the Nam Dinh University from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City. The airline continued to bring nearly 2000 medical staffs from Nam Dinh Hospital, Hanoi Medical University, Vietnam National Children’s Hospital, Bach Mai Hospital and Military Medical University to the south over the next two days.

In addition, approximately 2.5 tons and relief goods were also delivered to these areas.

During this fourth wave of the pandemic, Vietjet has transported thousands of medical staffs and students to provinces nationwide, as well as millions of vaccine doses and hundreds of tons of medical equipments, vaccine storage and handling toolkits to help speed up the vaccination process and assist the fight against the virus.

Another 200 modern ventilators from Germany along with medical masks, protective medical clothing, nylon and medical and laboratory equipment have landed in Vietnam safely and free of charge. These were donated by German cities and Vietnamese individuals and organizations in European countries to help Vietnam in the battle against the pandemic.

“With the spirit ‘fighting against the pandemic like an enemy’, Vietjet is always ready to help transport health staffs, medical equipment and vaccine,” said Vietjet managing director Mr Dinh Viet Phuong.
