BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Vietjet Board of Directors (BOD) for the term 2022-2027 consists of six members:
PhD. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao - Chairwoman of the BOD
Madame Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao is the founder of Vietjet. Achieving great business successes, she is an established manager in Vietnam and abroad, especially in the banking - finance sector. Madame Thao holds a PhD in economic cybernetics from the Mendeleev Institute, a BSc in finance-credit and banking from the Moscow Commerce Institute and a BSc in labour economic management from the Moscow National Economics College. She is also a corresponding member of the System Research Academy of the Russian Federation. Madam Phuong Thao is the first Vietnamese businesswoman to be awarded the Legion of Honour of the French Government.
Madame Nguyen Thanh Ha - Vice Chairwoman of the BOD
As one of the co-founders of Vietjet, Madame Nguyen Thanh Ha is an expert in Vietnam’s aviation industry. Prior to joining Vietjet, Madam Ha had served as the Deputy Head of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam and Head of the Planning & Investment Department of Vietnam Airlines. Madame Nguyen Thanh Ha holds a MS in Economics and a BS in Physics from the University of Hanoi, as well as a BS from the National Economics University.
MBA. Nguyen Anh Tuan – Vice Chairman of the BOD
Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan has years of profound experiences in oil and gas services, engineering, and insurance. Mr. Tuan previously held the position of Chairman of PetroVietnam Insurance JSC, a member of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group. He is currently the Vice Chairman of HDI Insurance Company of Sovico Group. Mr Nguyen Anh Tuan graduated with a BA in international relations and affairs from the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, holding a MSc in economics from the Colorado Institute of Economics, US, a MBA from the University of Hawaii and a MBA from the Asian Institute of Technology.
PhD. Dinh Viet Phuong - Member of the BOD, CEO of the Company
Dr. Dinh Viet Phuong has years of management experiences in senior positions at well-established companies, for example as Head of Sovico’s representative office in Vietnam, Deputy General Director of Sovico, Deputy General Director and BOD member of Vietnam Motors Industry Corporation under the Ministry of Transport, and BOD member of Petechim JSC, Petrovietnam. He has a BE from the University of Vietnam Maritime, a MBA from the Centre Franco-Vietnamien de formation à la Gestion (France) and a PhD in transportation from the Moscow State Academy of Water Transport.
MBA. Ho Ngoc Yen Phuong - Member of the BOD, Chief Financial Officer
Madam Yen Phuong has over 25 years of experience in the finance industry, holding senior leadership positions in reputable corporations. She has served as the Head of Finance Department at Vietnam Oil and Gas Group, Deputy General Director of PVDrilling, CFO of SK-Sfone, and Financial Controller of Holcim Vietnam. She holds a Master's degree in International Finance and Accounting from Swinburne University in Australia and a Bachelor's degree in International Economics from the Foreign Trade University. In 2014, she was selected to participate in the Global Linkage top senior 20 CEO Conversations at Harvard. She has recently been voted as one of the top 10 CFOs globally in 2023 by CEO Insigns.
Dr. Philipp Rösler – Member of the BOD
Dr. Philipp Rösler is a German of Vietnamese descent and has held many important positions in the German government, including: Minister of Health, Minister of Economics and Technology, and Deputy Prime Minister from 2011 to 2013. He is the first person of Asian descent to hold the position of Deputy Prime Minister in German history. He was the Managing Director of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Switzerland. Dr. Rösler also has a special passion for aviation. He holds a pilot's license. He is currently an advisor to the world's leading aircraft maintenance group in Switzerland.
