Dr. Philipp Rösler – Former German Vice Chancellor joins Vietjet
(Vietjet, HoChiMinh City, June 5, 2025) – Vietjet has just approved the election of Mr. Philipp Rösler, Former German Vice Chancellor, to the company's Board of Directors for the 2022–2027 term.
Dr.
Philipp Rösler was born in 1973 in Vietnam, is a German of Vietnamese descent
and has held many important positions in the German government, including:
Minister of Health, Minister of Economics and Technology, and Deputy Prime
Minister from 2011 to 2013. He is the first person of Asian descent to hold the
position of Deputy Prime Minister in German history.
In
addition to his political career, Dr. Rösler is also actively participated in
the economic and businesses. He was the Managing Director of the World Economic
Forum (WEF) in Switzerland.
Dr. Rösler also has a special passion for aviation. He holds a pilot's license. He is currently an advisor to the world's leading aircraft maintenance group in Switzerland.
With the addition of Dr. Philipp Rösler, Vietjet's Board of Directors now has 6 members. Dr. Rösler is expected to actively contribute to the airline's long-term development strategy, especially in the period of expanding its global flight network and becoming a growth bridge between Vietnam and other economies, based on the traditional values of each country and each nation.
