Forbes honors Vietjet among top 50 best
listed Vietnamese companies in 2024

2024) – Forbes Vietnam magazine has recently honored and awarded the 50
best listed companies in 2024 which included leading enterprises in various
sectors, representing key industries, and having been listed on the stock
market for many years, such as Vinamilk, Vietjet, Petrolimex...
Based on the
audited financial report 2023, representing the aviation industry, Vietjet has
ranked the 5th in revenue with VND58,300 billion, marking a 45% increase
compared to the same period in 2022. It clarified the company's strong recovery
and sustainable growth strategy.
Top 50 best
listed Vietnamese companies by Forbes have been selected through a rigorous
evaluation process, beginning with a preliminary screening based on fundamental
financial criteria, followed by scoring on factors such as revenue growth,
profitability, ROE, ROC and EPS growth from 2019 to 2023. Additionally, Forbes
carefully considered each company's industry position, governance quality, and
growth prospects.
While the
global economy facing many challenges, in the first half of 2024, Vietjet
continued to record outstanding business results with total revenue reaching
VND34,016 billion, up 15% year on year, while pre-tax profit reached VND1,311
billion, up 433% over the same period, exceeding the profit plan for the whole
year 2024 by 21%. Vietjet has also been maintained a long-term credit rating of
VnBBB-, among the highest among Vietnamese enterprises.
Vietjet has
expanded continously its fleet and flight network, with plan to receive an
additional 10 new aircraft in 2024. The airline is committed to sustainable
growth, expanding its routes across Vietnam and internationally destinations in
Australia, Japan, South Korea, China, India, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia,
Laos, Cambodia, Indonesia, Taiwan (China), and beyond, to meet the needs of
both local residents and tourists.
Since its initial public offering, Vietjet's VJC stock has consistently been highly valued by both domestic and international investors for its strong profitability, making it a preferred choice. In addition to frequently being featured in Top 50 best listed companies by Forbes, Vietjet has been honored by the leading financial publication International Finance with "Best Finance Management - Aviation" award, being recognized by Airfinance Journal as one of Top 50 airlines for healthy financing. AirlineRatings also honored Vietjet as the "Best Ultra Low-Cost Airline”.
