Vietjet and the
Tourism Authority of Thailand collaborate to promote aviation and tourism
(Vietjet, Hanoi, June 11, 2026) - Vietjet and the Tourism
Authority of Thailand (TAT) have signed a strategic cooperation agreement to
promote tourism, strengthen aviation connectivity and international cultural
exchange.
The
signing event took place in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Suphajee
Suthumpun and Minister of Tourism and Sports Surasak Phancharoenworakul of the
Kingdom of Thailand.
The event
continues Vietjet's outstanding cooperation highlights in Thailand, from the
milestone of 50 million passengers, the new generation Boeing fleet development
program and the MRO U-Tapao project to initiatives on football, sports, culture
and community on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of
diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Thailand.
Expanding aviation connectivity, promoting “Two nations -
One journey”
Vietjet
and TAT will coordinate to promote existing routes, study expanding new routes
between Vietnam and Thailand, and at the same time take advantage of Vietjet's
increasingly developed international flight network to connect tourists to key
markets such as Australia, India, China, Japan, Korea, Kazakhstan, Czech
Republic and many other potential destinations.
The two
sides simultaneously implemented the “Thailand - Vietnam: Two Countries, One
Journey” initiative, promoting Vietnam and Thailand as an attractive linked
tourism journey of Asia through promotion, communication and destination
promotion activities on Vietjet's diverse ecosystem and global partner network.
The cooperation also aims to develop high-value tourism (MICE, resorts, golf, health care) associated with sustainable tourism and aviation, cultural preservation and support for local communities.

Promoting tourism through football, sports, culture and
community development
Vietjet
and TAT will coordinate to promote cultural, sports, entertainment, culinary
and tourism activities, in which football is identified as the focus of sports
cooperation. Through community football programs, tourism events associated
with football, sponsorship and activities for fans, football is expected to
become an important bridge to strengthen understanding, friendship and people-to-people
exchanges between Vietnam - Thailand and the ASEAN region.
For more
than a decade, Vietjet has persistently accompanied Vietnamese football and
futsal through many sponsorship activities, community sports development and
support for national teams.
Through
this, Vietnam and Thailand are expected to strengthen their role as important
gateways connecting tourism, trade, investment, and at the same time promote
football, sports and cultural exchanges between ASEAN and the world.
