Vietjet expands Vietnam–China connectivity with five new routes

(Vietjet, Beijing, April 15, 2026) – In celebration of the state visit of Vietnam’s General Secretary and President To Lam to China, at the invitation of Chinese General Secretary and President Xi Jinping, the Investment Cooperation Conference between Sovico Group and Chinese businesses and partners was successfully held in Beijing.

The conference was attended by representatives of the Embassy and the Consulates General of Vietnam in China, along with aviation and tourism associations, travel partners, and nearly 200 leading Chinese enterprises, corporations, and investors.

The event marks a new milestone in Vietnam–China bilateral economic cooperation, while highlighting the pioneering role of Vietjet and Sovico Group in strengthening investment, trade, and people-to-people exchanges between two of the region’s most dynamic economies.


Strategic connectivity – Expanding growth opportunities

 

At the conference, Vietjet announced five new routes connecting Vietnam and China:

l Hanoi–Hangzhou

l Hanoi–Enshi

l Hanoi–Huangshan

l Ho Chi Minh City–Guilin

l Ho Chi Minh City–Huangshan

Among these, the Hanoi–Enshi and Ho Chi Minh City–Guilin routes have been in operation since early April 2026. These new routes not only expand Vietjet’s flight network but also enhance connectivity between key economic, cultural, and tourism hubs. This expansion aligns with the Vietnam–China Tourism Cooperation Year, facilitating greater flows of trade, investment, and cultural and social exchanges exchanges between the two countries.

During more than a decade (2014-2025), Vietjet has operated 131 routes between Vietnam and China, with nearly 70,000 flights and 14.5 million passengers, connecting eight Vietnamese airports with 55 airports across China. The airline has served as a strategic and sustainable aviation bridge between the two neighbors.


Bringing together leading partners – Unlocking a new cooperation ecosystem

 

The conference brought together leading Chinese corporations and organizations across key sectors, from aviation, finance, technology to infrastructure, railways, metro systems, and energy. They include China Construction Bank, Shanghai Pudong Development Bank, COMAC, and Huawei, along with major metro, railway, and construction groups from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen.

A number of cooperation agreements were announced, focusing on:

l Urban railways and smart infrastructure

l Logistics and supply chains

l Aviation finance and engineering


Sovico – Building bridges for regional development

At the event, COMAC University conferred the title of Distinguished Professor on Vietjet Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, in recognition of her contributions to aviation research and development, as well as advancing international cooperation.
