Vietjet officially releases audited financial statements for
H1/2026, reporting strong growth following international expansion

– Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company (HOSE: VJC) has announced its audited
financial statements for the first half of 2026, recording a consolidated
revenue of VND 51.536 trillion (approx. US$1.97 billion), up 44% YoY and
fulfilling 59.4% of its full-year target. Consolidated profit after tax reached
VND 1.372 trillion (approx. US$52.6 million), equivalent to 64.5% of the annual
plan.

Revenue
growth aligned with annual plan
According
to the audited financial statements, separate revenue reached VND 45.030 trillion
(approx. US$ 1.72 billion) in H1/2026, witnessing 26% increase YoY and completing
58.5% of the full-year target. Consolidated revenue reached VND 51.536 trillion
(approx. US$ 1.97 billion), up 44%, accomplishing 59.4% of the annual plan.
Separate
profit after tax stood at VND 1.126 trillion (approx. US$ 43.2 million), while
consolidated profit after tax reached VND 1.372 trillion (approx. US$ 52.6
million), completing 55.9% and 64.5% of the annual targets, respectively.
As
of June 30, 2026, Vietjet's total consolidated assets reached VND 149.093 trillion
(approx. US$ 5.72 billion). The net debt-to-equity ratio was maintained at
2.36, with a liquidity ratio of 1.36.
In
the first six months, Vietjet paid over VND 3.950 trillion (approx. US$ 151.6
million) of taxes and fees to the State budget.
Such
positive business performance was driven by passenger transport growth,
international route expansion, and measures to enhance operational efficiency
and cost control.
International
network remains growth driver
In
H1/2026, Vietjet transported over 13.4 million passengers across 72,000 flights
while cargo volume reached nearly 41,000 tons.
Vietjet
currently operates 213 routes, including 46 domestic and 167 international
routes. During H1, the airline further expanded connectivity to Australia,
China, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, Kazakhstan, and the Czech Republic,
strengthening its international presence while bridging Vietnam with major
economic, trade, and tourism hubs.
Amid
global geopolitical volatility, fluctuating jet fuel prices, and operational
cost pressures, Vietjet implemented commercial, financial, and cost management
solutions, alongside fleet optimization and fuel risk management to safeguard
operational margins.
The
airline continued to diversify products and services with Business, SkyBoss,
Deluxe, and Eco ticket classes, offering hot meals, VikkiCafe, Duty-Free, SkyFi
eSIM, currency exchange, the SkyJoy loyalty program, and seamless digital
utilities throughout the flying journey.
Fleet
investment solidifies long-term growth capacity
Vietjet
maintains its investment strategy in new-generation aircraft, with a total
order book of nearly 600 aircraft, laying a solid foundation for network growth
over the coming years.
In
H1, Vietjet signed agreements for Pratt & Whitney GTF engines to equip 44
Airbus A320neo aircraft and arranged financing for 12 Boeing 737-8 aircraft.
Fleet
development is included in the comprehensive plan for international network
expansion and operational efficiency improvements to meet travel demand in
high-growth markets.
At
the Singapore Airshow 2026, Vietjet, as a founding member, announced the
Asia-Pacific Aviation Finance Center, aimed at connecting international
financial institutions, investors, and aviation enterprises to bolster aviation
financing capabilities in Vietnam.
Vietjet
is also accelerating digital transformation and AI integration into management
and operations. It is partnering with OpenAirlines, Satair, and global partners
to optimize fuel consumption, enhance operational efficiency, and reduce
emissions.
Building
a comprehensive aviation ecosystem
In
addition to passenger transport, Vietjet continues to expand ancillary
operations across the aviation value chain, including ground services, air
cargo, training, aircraft maintenance, aviation finance, and technology.
AirportNEO
provides self-ground handling services at major Vietnamese airports while also
offering services to international airlines, including Air India’s regular
flights to and from Hanoi.
The air freight segment continued to expand, driven by growing regional trade and logistics demand.
Victoria
Aviation Academy continues to build international-standard aviation training
capabilities. Vietjet is collaborating with Australian Aviation, F Air flight
academy, and serves as an IATA training partner. The academy has conducted
9,662 training courses for over 99,000 trainees, including pilots, cabin crew,
engineers, dispatchers, and aviation specialists.
An
aircraft engineering subsidiary is currently being prepared for operations,
step-by-step integrating technical maintenance capabilities into Vietjet's aviation
value chain.
In
international markets, Vietjet Thailand has expanded its flight network with
the newly-added Boeing 737-8 fleet. Vietjet Qazaqstan maintained operations
across Kazakhstan and Central Asia, extending the global reach of the Vietjet
network.
Enhancing
international brand equity
According
to Brand Finance, as of May 2026, Vietjet’s brand value reached US$ 906
million.
In the first half of the year, Vietjet received remarkable international recognition for safety, service quality, workplace environment, and sustainable development. It was named among Vietnam’s Top 50 Listed Companies by Forbes Vietnam and Top 50 of the Corporate Sustainability Awards. Cirium recognized Vietjet as the most emissions-efficient airline for intra-Southeast Asia routes.
