Vietjet delegation led by CEO Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao visit SOS Children’s Village in Da Nang
On 1st May – the International Worker’s Day, Vietjet delegation led by CEO Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao visited Da Nang SOS Children’s Village.
According to Ms. Le Thi Thu Ha – Director of Da Nang SOS Children’s Village, there are 160 children living in the village. The kids were delighted at special gift sets of cake, milk, fruits and wishing money given by the delegation. Thao also presented the village a present worth VND 100 million.
160 children with their “mothers” and representatives from the village joined Thao and her entourage in games and talks like a family.
CEO and her entourage spent most of their time talking with the kids to motivate them in their spirit life.
“Today, I and my colleagues at Vietjet try as twice as ordinary days to help other people to unite with their families during this holiday and to be here with you all. I strongly believe that there is a future in the air for you. You are not alone but accompanied by your mothers and the whole society”, said Thao.
Vietjet CEO surprised the needy children with a moving and fabulous song named “Mẹ ru con” (a mom comforts her baby into sleep). Many children conquered the stage to join our CEO and smiled happily with Vietjet Teddy bears or Vietjet aircraft models.
Representative of Da Nang SOS Children’s village shared that today was a special International workers’ day to the village. The spiritual and material sharing by Vietjet had a meaningful impact which brought optimism and happiness to all the children there.
Sharing with the poor and needy children is one typical trait of Vietjeters’ life. The trait which resulted from our CEO has become each Vietjeter’s action motto and a thorough culture trait in all business activities. This trait also realizes the sustainable development program announced by our CEO at Vietjet’s Annual Shareholders’ Meeting 2016 – 2017 recently. Accordingly, from now until 2020, Vietjet will prioritize investments on environmental protection and community oriented activities which reflect company’s social responsibility.
