Vinamilk, Vietjet, Mobile World continued to be ranked by Forbes among the top 50 listed companies
(Ho Chi Minh City, September 14, 2017) – Vinamilk, Vietjet, Mobile World continued to be ranked by Forbes Magazine among the Top 50 Vietnamese listed companies in 2017 at a Business Forum held in Ho Chi Minh city.
There were some new companies on the list such as Petrolimex, Vietjet, Novaland, etc. each landed in the top 50 ranking. Vietjet was highlighted when listed within only 6 months but having impressive stable financial results.
For the first half of 2017, Vietjet reached VND16,423 billion in revenue and VND1,797 billion in after-tax profit (after-tax profit of parent company’s shareholders stood at VND1,796 billion), an increase of 45% year on year. Earnings per share (EPS)stood at VND5,737. Up to June 30, 2017, Vietjet’s total asset stood at VND24,747 billion, an increase of 49.6% year on year. Its equity was VND7,321 billion, an increase of 111.9% compared to the same period last year.
According to the statistical data, 50 companies on the list accounted for over 60% total market capitalisation value on the two stock exchanges in Ho Chi Minh City (HSX) and Hanoi (HNX), equivalent to the rate of the previous year. The revenue for the top 50 companies in the 1H 2017 totaled VND734,822 billion, an increase of 55%. The total profit of these companies reached VND79,461 billion, up 49% in comparison to the previous year’s list.
